RPM Ministries: Equipping You to Change Lives with Christ’s Changeless Truth
Bob, I enjoyed the blog post about Psychiatric Medication because it has a direct bearing on my own life. There is still definitely a stigma attached to Christians using medicattions to help with issues such as depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. I struggled to overcome feelings of shame and condemnation in regards to this issue. For a long time, I believed that my faith was weak if I chose to use medications to help overcome depression. In my experience, God also showed me how I cannot depend on medications alone, but ultimately it is Him in whom I place my trust, because for a period of time, not even medication proved effective. He has used genuine biblical counseling and a growing relationship with Him combined with minimal medication to bring wholeness. Praise God!
