Heading to NANC!
Sunday evening through Wednesday evening, September 30 to October 3, I’ll be at College Park Church in Indianapolis, Indiana for the 2012 Annual Biblical Counseling Conference of NANC (National Association of Nouthetic Counselors).
I’ll be there for several purposes:
To Be Further Equipped by Excellent Speakers
I’m looking forward to the entire week, and especially excited to hear:
• David Powlison of CCEF speaking on Godly Flexibility: One Key to the Counseling Process
• Rob Green of FBCM counseling speaking on All Roads Lead to Calvary: Using the Gospels in Counseling
• Randy Patten, Executive Director of NANC speaking on A Word-Driven Vision for the Future
• Bob Somerville of The Masters College speaking on What to Do When the Counselor Wakes Up Depressed
• Heath Lambert of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary speaking on Power for Counseling from the Epistles
To Represent the Biblical Counseling Coalition
I’ll also be at the NANC conference to represent the Biblical Counseling Coalition. I have the honor and joy of serving as the Executive Director of the BCC. We’ll have a booth at NANC, so if you’re there attending, please drop by. We’ll have plenty of free resources available.
To Speak and Equip
I’ll also have the privilege of speaking in two of the workshop session.
On Tuesday at 3:30 PM, Steve Viars and I will be sharing about The Biblical Counseling Coalition and You. As the title suggests, we’ll share not only what’s up with the BCC but ways the BCC seeks to minister to and equip people to change lives with Christ’s changeless truth.
On Wednesday at 10:15 AM, I’ll be speaking on Gospel-Centered Marriage Counseling: Four Pillars for Glorifying God through Oneness in Marriage. You can download the PowerPoint here.
To Build Relationships and Connect
I’ll fill every breakfast, lunch, and dinner time with times of connection with others.
If you can’t attend, we can still connect. I’ll try to “tweet” updates from my Twitter Account @BobKellemen and/or from the BCC Twitter Account @biblicalcc using the hash-tags #BibleCn and/or #NANC12.

RPM Ministries: Equipping You to Change Lives with Christ’s Changeless Truth
I HAVE been to the NANC conference many times. It has had an amazing impact on my life! I have believed in Biblical Counseling for quite some time and have been working on the certification process these last couple of years. This year I am especially looking forward to going as a certified NANC Biblical Counselor!! Biblical counseling is my passion. I believe 2nd Peter 1:3 with all of my heart. “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence,” God’s Word truly does tell us all that we need to know to live! It may not tell you how to do heart surgery, but it tells you what attitude you should have while needing heart surgery! God tells us in His word that he has granted to us all things for life and godliness……do you believe HIM? I promise you, if you come to the NANC conference and take the workshops and come to the plenary sessions, you will be forever changed! I am so grateful for NANC and all that I learn every year at the Annual Conference. Come join the excitement and learn, learn learn so you can grow grow grow and share with others what you have learned! It’s called discipleship!
Thanks, Lorie, for a wonderful testimony. Discipleship/equipping in one-another ministry is the heartbeat of NANC and the annual conference is one of many ways they fulfill that mission/vision.
