“Thank You!” Half-a-Million Times

Sometimes I wonder if it is worth it to keep my little “Mom and Pop” RPM Ministries Truth & Love blog site up and running. That’s been especially true since I closed my bookstore and no longer maintain any way to “monetize” my site.

And it’s even more true since it costs me over $1,000 per year out of pocket to maintain the site when I factor in paying my web master, paying for the hosting fees, etc.

However, when I visit my Google Analytics site and see that annually I have nearly half-a-million people reading my posts and benefitting from all of my free resources, then I think it’s worth the $1,000+ I pay each year.

So, “thank you” for making the time to read my blog posts and download my free resources.

My Dozen Most Read Blogs Posted in 2024

In 2024, I published 140 blog posts. That’s just under 3 posts weekly. Of those 140 blog posts, here are the dozen posts that you read the most often. Again, “Thank you!”

1. 10 Top Biblical Counseling Books of 2024. Here are the top 10 biblical counseling books of 2024: about biblical counseling, about Christian living, or important to biblical counselors.

2. Definitions and Signs of Spiritual Abuse. Spiritual abuse is a spiritual role-reversal. Rather than feeding the sheep, the shepherd becomes the wolf feeding on the sheep.

3. Engaging Publicly with Heath Lambert’s Public Writings: Part 2: Hearing Heath. As we hear Heath Lambert’s concerns about other biblical counselors, do we hear him accurately characterizing or mischaracterizing these biblical counselors?

4. Common Grace and Biblical Counseling: Wisdom from Reformed Theologians. How have Reformed theologians applied the doctrine of common grace in relationship to the use of extra-biblical resources from non-Christians?

5. 100 Free Resources for Counseling the Whole Person: Soul Physicians of Embodied-Souls. What does the Bible teach about biblical counseling, the body, the embodied-soul, traumatic-suffering, research, science, and neuroscience?

6. Priests, Zombies, and Prophets, Oh My!: Engaging Publicly with Heath Lambert’s Public Writings: Part 1. Heath initiated a public confrontation aimed at biblical counselors he sees as infected zombie priests. I am responding publicly to Heath’s public writings.

7. 560 Biblical Passages on Embodied-Souls. 560 biblical passages about embodied-souls to develop a biblical theology of biblical counselors as soul physicians of embodied-souls.

8. A Biblically Relevant Response to the Paris Olympic Opening Ceremonies: Paul at Mars Hill. When we hear the bad news of false worship in Paris, how do we respond? Do we respond only with the bad news of condemnation? Or, do we offer the good news of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection?

9. How Do Spiritually Mature Christians Handle Suffering? Much of our thinking about suffering is unbiblical. We falsely imagine that the more spiritually mature we are, the less emotional pain we will experience when we suffer.

10. Zealous Polemicists: Powlison’s Counsel on Communicating Constructively Concerning Counseling Conflicts. Powlison models how to speak the truth in love in the pursuit of peace, rather than exacerbating quarrels and perpetuating caricatures.

11. Beware of Relational Heresy While Addressing Perceived Doctrinal Heresy. The Bible consistently addresses how we treat one another while we address doctrinal disagreements.

12. Jimmy Buffett, “Bubbles Up,” and “Look Up to Jesus!”When life knocks you down and disorients you, remember, “Bubbles up.” Remember, “Look up to Jesus!” Note: This was my favorite post of 2024. I really enjoyed writing and reading this post!
