The Anatomy of Anxiety
All week I’ll be speaking at the Faith Biblical Counseling Training Conference in Lafayette, Indiana. Click here for more information on the conference. If you want to follow updates on Twitter, use: #BCTConf as your search hash tag.
Since many of you will be unable to attend in person, each day this week I’ll be providing an introduction to one or more of my sessions. Plus, I’ll be sharing a link to the entire PowerPoint presentation associated with that link—that you can download for free.
The Anatomy of Anxiety: God’s Prescription for Victory in Anxiety
On Tuesday, February 14, I’ll be speaking in Track 4 on The Anatomy of Anxiety. On Wednesday, February 15, in Track 6, I’ll be facilitating a two-hour case study on The Anatomy of Anxiety. Here’s my presentation focus for the Tuesday presentation.
Anxiety, fear, panic, phobias, stress—even the words create…anxiety! How are we to understand, and what are we to do, as we help people struggling with anxiety issues? In this session, we’ll explore the biblical anatomy of anxiety—a Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Consummation perspective. Building upon this comprehensive descriptive assessment, we’ll ponder God’s prescription for victory in anxiety. Understanding heart-causes for anxiety leads to Christ-like caring and biblical prescriptions. This robust approach is the remedy for “take two verses and call me in the morning.”

Here’s my presentation for the Wednesday case study.
In this session, we will walk with “Mike” through his struggles with anxiety and fear. We’ll examine how to implement a Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Consummation perspective on the anatomy of anxiety. Building upon this comprehensive descriptive assessment, we’ll ponder how to help Mike find victory in anxiety. This robust, relational case study is the remedy for “take two verses and call me in the morning.”

Meditating on Bible Verses that deal with peace and fear do help me in dealing with anxiety.
Thank you for sharing these pp with us. I just browsed through them and I needed them tonight for myself, let alone the counseling cases I have right now. THANK YOU.
Glad to hear it; glad they are helpful; God’s Word is sufficient! More PowerPoints coming Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
