Recruiting Prayer Partners and Feedback Friends
Would you like to join me in my latest writing adventure?
Over the next eighteen months, I’ll be researching and writing a two-book series designed to serve as equipping manuals for training biblical counselors in the local church.
Think of the two books as the local church versions of Soul Physicians and Spiritual Friends.
By God’s grace, Soul Physicians and Spiritual Friends are widely used in Christian colleges/Bible colleges and seminaries/Christian graduate schools for advanced training in biblical counseling.
While they are also used in churches for advanced training in biblical counseling, the new two-book series will provide the foundational materials leaders need to equip God’s people to speak God’s truth in love.
I Need Prayer Partners and Feedback Friends
There’s much more I could say about the two-book project. But I want to get to the heart of this blog post.
I’m wanting to recruit:
• Prayer Partners: People who know me and my ministry and would like to receive periodic updates on how you could be praying for my writing ministry.
• Feedback Friends: People who would be my “test audience” offering me feedback on chapters so I know how well (or not-so-well) I’m communicating.
I promise not to overwhelm you with prayer requests or chapter samples.
You’d always, of course, have control over how involved you become at any point over the next eighteen months.
Why Join the Journey with Me?
Hopefully because we’re friends.
And because you’d like to minister with me as I minister to others through writing—playing a significant role in impacting others who God would impact through these two books.
