Today, in Part 3, ABC Executive Director, Shauna Van Dyke, shares about ABC’s new logo and updated Mission Statement, which they unveiled at their 2026 Called to Counsel Conference.

Mission Statement Update Unveiled

For some time, we have felt a need to evolve our branding to better reflect the maturity and the academic rigor of the work we are doing together. At the Call to Counsel conference, we officially unveiled our new simplified mission statement that will guide our path forward:

“Equipping the saints to live and counsel the Word of God.”

This is a significant milestone for ABC—one that marks a new chapter in our collective history.

The Heart Behind the Change

While our previous identity served us faithfully, this development is born out of a desire to better steward the mission entrusted to us. To help provide clear distinctions and eliminate misconceptions, our goals for this update are simple:

  • A Unified Voice: We are bringing our various branches—Equipped to Counsel, Called to Counsel, and the Speak the Truth podcast—under one cohesive canopy to ensure that our community sees each as part of a singular, powerful mission.
  • Distinct Positioning: By leaning into a more academic aesthetic, we are intentionally distinguishing ABC as a premier training and resource hub. This reflects our unwavering commitment to providing the highest caliber of equipping for the profound work of biblical counseling.
  • A Clarified Mission: We have distilled our “why” into a mission statement that more precisely communicates who we are and what we offer.

Our New Logo

At our Call to Counsel conference, we also unveiled our new logo. Here’s a summary of what the images in our logo seek to communicate.

The Bible: Scripture is the foundation of our mission to equip the saints to live and counsel the Word of God, establishing the ongoing process of sanctification and the call to counsel through a commitment to lifelong learning.

The Cross: At the heart of this mission is the cross, positioning Christ at the center of all we do and ensuring that our counseling and community remain rooted in His finished work and sovereign grace.

The Pillar: We fulfill this calling through the pillar, which illustrates the structure for certification and the solid training needed to be equipped to counsel biblically and intentionally.

The Light: We are further guided by the light, reflecting our podcast episodes and practical resources that illuminate hope and compassion to guide others to speak the truth with love.

The Globe: Together, these elements empower the globe, representing our membership and biblical counseling network that stands as a unified community offering care around the world.

Our Hope

Our rebrand is more than a change in appearance; it is a reinforcement of the commitment to biblical counseling, providing renewed clarity to our mission. Our prayer is that all attendees left the conference not only with the tools to counsel with biblical wisdom, but with a heart that was encouraged and restored by the Truth. We pray that they departed with a deepened sense of belonging to a unified community—all firmly rooted in the Scriptures.

“May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.” 2 Thessalonians 2:16–17

“Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” 2 Corinthians 13:11–14
